Urology Locum Tenens Opportunity at UPHS Marquette
Are you a dedicated Urologist looking to make a meaningful impact while enjoying flexible scheduling? Join our esteemed healthcare team at UPHS Marquette, where you'll provide vital urology call coverage and inpatient services within a supportive and dynamic environment. What You’ll Do:
  • Provide 24-hour urology call coverage, including onsite call-ins and rounding on new admissions and inpatients.
  • Manage various urological procedures such as kidney stones, stent placements, hematuria cases, and difficult catheter placements.
  • Respond to approximately 2-5 calls per night, with onsite presence averaging 2-4 hours daily during call-back hours.
  • Document all clinical activity thoroughly to ensure compliance and facilitate accurate billing and audit processes.
  • Collaborate with hospital staff to deliver high-quality patient care efficiently across your assigned shifts.

Required Skills:
  • Active Urologist license valid in the state of Michigan.
  • Proven experience in urological procedures and inpatient management.
  • Strong clinical skills with ability to handle diverse urology cases.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to respond promptly within a 20-minute onsite window as required.

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with hospital-based urological procedures such as CBI, stent placements, or hematuria management.
  • Previous exposure to hospital call coverage environments.
  • Bilingual skills or additional certifications relevant to emergency urology care.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • MD or DO degree with board certification or eligibility in Urology.
  • At least 2 years of post-residency experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Prior experience in a locum or temporary role is a plus.

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to provide documentation supporting call hours, including detailed notes on callback activities.
  • Willingness to work scheduled shifts starting June 10, 2026, with ongoing coverage through June 16, 2026, and beyond.
  • Travel reimbursement and licensure certification support provided where applicable.
