Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Location: Milemarkers – Lake Havasu City, AZ
Assignment Type: Temporary / Travel Contract
Setting: Pediatric Outpatient / Community-Based Clinic

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a temporary / travel assignment in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, supporting pediatric patients within an outpatient or community-based clinical setting. This role is ideal for an SLP who is passionate about working with children, comfortable managing a diverse pediatric caseload, and adaptable to a contract-based environment.

The Pediatric SLP will evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, fluency, feeding, and/or swallowing disorders in pediatric patients while collaborating closely with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary care teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for pediatric patients
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices
  • Provide direct therapy services addressing articulation, language delays, fluency, voice, feeding, and/or swallowing disorders
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate
  • Educate parents and caregivers on home exercises, progress, and strategies to support carryover
  • Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, physical therapists, educators, and other care team members
  • Maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards
  • Participate in care coordination and multidisciplinary meetings as required
  • Deliver culturally sensitive, family-centered care within a community-focused environment

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active Arizona SLP license (or ability to obtain prior to start)
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
  • Pediatric experience required (outpatient, clinic, school-based, or community setting)
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric speech and language development and disorders
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a temporary or travel assignment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior travel or contract assignment experience
  • Experience working in outpatient pediatric clinics or multidisciplinary settings
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR)
  • Experience with early intervention, school-aged pediatrics, or mixed pediatric caseloads
