The Howmet engines business produces world-class aerospace engine components, including investment castings, fasteners, rings and forgings.     Basic Qualifications

    • May be required to wear a respirator for certain tasks

    • Must be able to accurately read standard measuring tools (ruler, Vernier, calipers)

    • Must be able to be certified as a Howmet EHS and OSHA qualified forklift operator with previous forklift operation experience

    • Must have previous experience in a manufacturing facility

    • Candidates should be flexible to work up to a 12-hour shift

    Salary Range: $19/hr. temp to hire.

    Howmet Engine Systems has an immediate opening for an Inspector to assist in the manufacturing process at our facility in Rochester, NY.  

    Basic Function:

    Inspection of Forged metal seamless rings for aerospace.  

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform set-up of measuring and test equipment as needed to determine dimensional measurements required on customer or in-house product drawings or blueprints

    • Perform set-up and inspection of those products requiring very close tolerances

    • Perform over-inspections on outside machining

    • Audit parts for conformance to procedures and results of inspections

    • Perform first article inspections and prepare inspection records as required

    • Prepare non-conforming material reports

    • Maintain a clean and orderly inspection area

    • Perform final production inspection
