Job description

The Quality Control - 2nd Shift role involves inspecting finished products to ensure they meet established standards and comply with legal requirements. The position operates under direct supervision during regular shift hours with potential overtime. This role is critical in maintaining product excellence through diligent inspection, data recording, and process improvement while supporting team training and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect output samples using industry-appropriate methods, including measuring dimensions and examining functionality
  • Ensure assembly line complies with standards, procedures, and legal requirements
  • Review blueprints and specifications to verify product conformity
  • Record inspection results in reports and input quality data into databases
  • Train production team on quality control measures to enhance product quality
  • Analyze product defects to determine root causes and suggest reworks
  • Assist in developing test methods and inspection plans
  • Monitor equipment use for safety and proper calibration
  • Propose improvements to production processes for better quality outcomes

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in quality control
