Job description

DMBA (Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators) is a non-profit organization that administers benefits for companies owned or affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
The Missionary Medical department is hiring a temporary Claims & Customer Solutions Representative.

Join a mission-driven team that ensures missionaries and their families receive timely, accurate healthcare support. You'll combine compassionate service with precise claims work to protect participants from administrative burdens and keep care moving. You'll make thoughtful decisions on complex issues, with leadership guidance available when needed. Accuracy and efficiency are critical to meeting expectations for participants and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Process medical and dental claims accurately, including appeals and coordination of benefits.
Resolve billing notices and coordinate care with the Missionary Medical Nurse team.
Prevent collections activity for missionaries proactively.
Provide timely, professional support via phone, email, and in person.
Meet service-level standards for call response and resolution.
Document thoroughly and communicate clearly with stakeholders.
Manage plan payments, recoveries, receipts, and posting adjustments.
Partner with Accounting to identify overpayments and execute recoveries.
Contribute to special projects and cross-functional initiatives.

Work Environment and Schedule:

Hybrid work environment based in Salt Lake Valley with remote flexibility. Team members split time between on-site and home office to support work/life balance and operational needs. Occasional in-person meetings or training may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent
Advanced knowledge of claims processing and health plan design
Strong judgment, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred:

Familiarity with IT systems and project management
Broader healthcare operations knowledge (membership, medical management, provider contracting)
Professional verbal and written skills
