Job description


A growing accounting, tax, and consulting firm is seeking a Tax Manager to review complex trust, partnership and corporate tax returns. Additionally, you will supervise and evaluate associates, develop new clients, assist in firm administrative functions, manage multiple engagements concurrently to meet deadlines, and provide supervision, training, and support to staff. You will work Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Review complex individual, trust, partnership, and corporate tax returned prepared by tax staff for accuracy
  • Supervise Associates, Senior Associates and Supervisors, provide feedback, and evaluate their progress
  • Develop new client contacts and relationships beneficial to the firm
  • Assist with administrative functions as assigned by the members
  • Recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients
  • Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to efficiently meet client deadlines
  • Provide supervision, training, and support to the staff and promote open communication

Job Requirements
Job Qualifications:
  • Must have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Tax, Accounting, or related field
  • CPA License with review experience is needed
  • Must have 4 to 10 years recent public accounting tax experience
  • Proven success with business development and business grown is needed; Book of business is a plus
  • Must be proficient in Corporate (C&S), partnership, taxation provisions and business M&A; SALT experience is a plus
  • Must have exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
  • Must have the ability to manage multiple engagements in a rapidly growing, fast-paced interactive, results-based team environment
  • Must have excellent communication, leadership, training, and mentoring skills
  • Must have great analytical, organizational, project management skills while paying a high attention to detail
  • Must be professional, have integrity, with a positive attitude
