Job description

Job Description RCS Staffing has an immediate need for a Project Manager Remote/Hybrid with travel to Phoenix, AZ. This is a full-time, direct-hire, hybrid assignment with our client. This position offers a competitive compensation package including benefits, vacation, and holidays.

Overview of YOUR role as a Project Manager As a Project Manager, YOU will play a key role in overseeing power infrastructure projects-primarily substation and transmission work supporting large-scale data centers. This is a dynamic, client-facing role that requires a driven, self-starting professional who thrives in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment. As a Project Manager, YOU will: Manage and support power delivery projects focused on substation and transmission (distribution experience considered secondary).

Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure project delivery meets client expectations. Attend and lead internal and external meetings; prepare and present project updates and presentations. Regularly interact with clients and stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and ensure smooth project execution (not responsible for generating new business).

Adapt to a changing day-to-day environment-no two days will look the same. Visit project sites as needed; travel may include 3-4 days per month for remote candidates (expenses paid). YOU are the ideal Project Manager candidate if you have: 7-10 years of experience managing power delivery projects, with a focus on substation or transmission (High Voltage).

Proven ability to handle multiple priorities and tight deadlines with professionalism and polish. Strong communication and client interaction skills, with a results-oriented and solutions-driven mindset. A proactive person, motivated by progress and completion, not content to sit back.

Excellent organizational and presentation abilities, with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. It's a BONUS if you have: Experience supporting data center clients or other fast-paced, high-demand environments. Prior experience in a seller/doer type role managing client relationships.

Strong understanding of the power delivery lifecycle and collaboration between engineering and construction teams. About Our Client: this Phoenix-based consulting firm offers full-service civil engineering and design support across public and private sectors. They maintain in-house capabilities in areas such as land surveying, landscape architecture, stormwater and water/wastewater systems, land planning, and civil site design.

Their staff works on a wide variety of project types-commercial, residential, industrial, public works, energy/utility, transportation-and they have a regional presence across the western United States. They emphasize a "Service First" mindset, integrating coordination among stakeholders early in the process to control costs, expedite approvals, and achieve design goals.
