What is an independent contractor electrical engineer Navy?

Independent Contractor Electrical Engineers in the Navy are professionals who provide specialized electrical engineering services on a contract basis rather than as full-time government employees. They work on projects such as designing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems on naval vessels, submarines, or shore facilities. Contractors are typically hired for their expertise in areas like power distribution, communications, or control systems and may collaborate with Navy personnel to ensure that engineering solutions meet strict military standards. Their work helps ensure the safety, reliability, and effectiveness of Navy operations.
