About the Role

We are seeking an experienced design professional to join a vibrant Store Design team. In this critical role, you will be an individual contributor, guiding retail concepts from initial layout through to final design intent. Your work will directly influence the physical brand experience, from captivating storefront elevations to thoughtfully designed interior fixtures and optimized space planning. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, seeing your designs transform into engaging retail spaces that delight customers and elevate the brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce comprehensive retail design packages, including detailed floor plans, striking storefront elevations, innovative lighting schemes, custom fixtures, and strategic spatial layouts, all meticulously aligned with brand standards.
• Generate fresh and creative ideas for store architecture, visual merchandising fixtures, exterior designs, and cutting-edge layout solutions that enhance the customer journey.
• Partner seamlessly with construction and purchasing teams to provide essential design guidance, generate accurate material takeoffs, and communicate drawing revisions effectively.
• Conduct thorough reviews of landlord site information, consultant drawings, and construction documents to rigorously ensure that the original design intent is maintained throughout project execution.
• Present compelling design proposals to leadership, actively incorporating feedback and refining concepts to achieve optimal final designs.

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have Qualifications:

• Retail Design Expertise: 5–7+ years of hands-on experience specifically in corporate retail design or a retail-focused design consultancy. (Experience strictly in home, residential, or corporate office design will not be considered for this role).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Industrial Design from a CIDA-accredited institution, or equivalent professional experience.
• Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating floor plans, retail elevations, and store design concepts is absolutely required with your application. Submissions without a design portfolio or work samples will not be reviewed.
• Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat), and MS Office.
