Job description

We are looking for an experienced Customer Service Specialist to act as a primary resource for our solar customers. In this role, you will be the main point of contact for homeowners, handling a consistent flow of inbound calls and emails. We arenโ€™t just looking for someone to answer phonesโ€”we require a professional who explicitly understands the solar industry and can provide clear, accurate guidance to our clients.

Please Note: Prior professional experience in the solar energy sector is strictly required for this position. Candidates without a solar background will not be considered.

salary: $32 - $35 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

  • Manage high-volume inbound phone and email inquiries with professionalism and a focus on first-call resolution.

  • Troubleshoot technical solar issues and complex billing inquiries, escalating cases only when necessary.

  • Coordinate seamlessly with Sales, Operations, and Billing departments to ensure customer requests are handled across all stages of their project.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of all customer interactions and case updates within our CRM.

Requirements

  • You must have at least 2+ years of direct, hands-on experience in the solar sector to be considered for this role.

  • You must be fully available to work from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST on either a Mondayโ€“Friday or Wednesdayโ€“Sunday shift.

  • You need exceptional communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical customers clearly and patiently.

  • You must possess technical aptitude with CRM systems and the ability to manage multiple digital communication channels simultaneously.
