Job description

Construction/Engineering Recruiter

Location: Bloomington, MN

Work Arrangement: Hybrid preferred for local candidates; 100% remote may be considered

Duration: ASAP through end of year and potentially longer

Job Type: Project/Contract

Pay Range: $40-50/hr

About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Recruiter to support significant growth following the award of a major new project. This is a high-impact recruiting opportunity focused specifically on finding specialized talent within the vertical construction industry. The recruiter will serve as a heavy sourcer, building talent pipelines for specialized construction professionals across Minnesota, North Dakota, and nationally.

Direct construction recruiting experience is required. Candidates without construction recruiting experience will not be considered.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead high-volume sourcing and full-cycle recruiting for construction and engineering positions
  • Recruit specialized talent including Project Managers, Superintendents, Estimators, Quality professionals, and Safety professionals
  • Source passive candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, networking, referrals, and other recruiting channels
  • Develop targeted talent pipelines for difficult-to-fill construction positions
  • Partner with recruiting and business leaders to understand specialized construction hiring needs
  • Screen candidates and manage the candidate process from initial contact through interview and offer
  • Coordinate interviews and maintain strong candidate communication throughout the process
  • Recruit across Minnesota and North Dakota while supporting national searches as needed
What We're Looking For
  • Direct construction recruiting experience is required
  • Experience recruiting within vertical/commercial construction is strongly preferred
  • Experience recruiting for a general contractor, construction management firm, commercial builder, or similar organization
  • Proven ability to source heavily and consistently, particularly for passive candidates
  • Experience recruiting construction professionals such as Project Managers, Superintendents, Estimators, Quality, and Safety professionals
  • Ability to recruit for specialized and difficult-to-fill positions
  • Strong candidate management and communication skills
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Experience with Workday ATS
  • Ability to recruit both locally and nationally
Important

This is a construction recruiting role, not a general recruiting position. Candidates should have a proven track record recruiting for construction roles, ideally within vertical/commercial construction. Experience limited to areas such as wind, solar, manufacturing, technology, or general corporate recruiting will not be considered a match.
