Job Description
Placement: Direct Hire, Non-Temp
Job Title:ECU Systems Engineer
Salary Range: $80,000 to $100,000 (DOE)
Job Description & Duties:
Responsibilities:
Capture and Analyses of functional and quality requirements of Electronic Control Units
This includes both concept studies as well as detailed architectures including the necessary analyses.
Support the design team to ensure the conformity to the architectures against the applicable safety requirements in the automotive industry (ISO-26262)
Support the team to ensure the compliance with the detailed design reviews by i.e., to ensure fulfilment of the production standards, the ISO-26262 standards, and the requirements from AutoSPICE.
Preparation of reports and analyses to support the decision for the design process of
o splitting of the system requirements and structural elements of the ECU,
o allocation of HW/SW elements & resources,
o budgeting of memory, current consumption, etc.
Deployment of the requirements to other disciplines, such as hardware- and software development, taking into account the requirements and restrictions, such as safety, cost and schedule.
Preparation of metrics and reports for Impact analyses, Change tracking and Analyses status
Implementation of internal reviews and customer presentations.


Qualifications
Degree as an electronics, software engineer and or mechanical engineering ( Bachelor or Master)
Experience in the design of electronic controllers for automotive systems, especially of safety relevant systems (ASIL D Systems)
Experience in the field of Requirements Engineering and Management, model-based system development and semi-formal description such as UML/SysML
Knowledge of software tools such as IBM Rhapsody and Doors / MKS is an advantage.
Basic mechanical knowledge.
Experience in direct contact with customers and suppliers within the automotive electronics industry.
Understanding and Experience in applicable processes and normative (ISO 26262, ASPICE, CMMI,...)
Good communication, influencing, and presentation skills
Willingness to travel
