Cleanroom Technician

1st, 2nd, & 3rd Shifts available

$20-$23/hr

Job Description

Perform daily production and packaging activities in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all related standard operating procedures (SOPs). Work towards achieving production goals and meet any unscheduled peaks in workload to ensure timely release of products and avoid back orders.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Team Leader to detail critical raw materials, in-process procedures, and specifications.
  • Propose corrective actions for technical problems related to raw materials and finished products.
  • Perform in-process quality checks on sub-assemblies and finished products.
  • Address line issues and other production problems; promptly notify the Team Leader of required corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and all related SOPs.
  • Use computerized Materials Resource Planning (MRP) inventory system to report lot-controlled ingredients on batch records.

Essential Skills

  • At least four years of previous assembly/packaging experience, preferably in a regulated medical device manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Thorough understanding of SOPs and ability to provide detailed examples of their application in achieving goals.
  • Understanding of GDP and ability to explain its implementation.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing acronyms and terminology.
  • Experience in line clearances with accurate examples.
  • Proficiency in machine operation, quality assurance, packaging, inspection, and computer operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience with, or ability to quickly comprehend, coagulation-based manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with GDP, GMP, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), FDA, and ISO.
  • Knowledge of qualification and validation trials is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and large Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) systems preferred.

Work Environment

Glasses must have side shields, and ear protection is provided due to noise levels. Headphones and cell phone use are not permitted on the manufacturing floor. Overtime flexibility is required, with some overtime being voluntary and some mandatory, notified 1-2 weeks in advance. Reliability is crucial to prevent bottlenecks in the process.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.90 - $23.10/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
