Design Hire is seeking a Semiconductor Process Engineer to support advanced epitaxial growth, process improvement, and production readiness in a technical manufacturing environment. This role is a strong fit for someone with hands-on MOCVD experience who can troubleshoot equipment, improve repeatability, and support high-quality semiconductor production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform compound semiconductor epitaxial growth activities using MOCVD equipment.
  • Support process optimization efforts to improve yield, consistency, quality, and production performance.
  • Troubleshoot tool, material, and process-related issues across active manufacturing operations.
  • Work with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to support equipment uptime and issue resolution.
  • Document growth runs, process changes, characterization results, maintenance activity, and corrective actions.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of semiconductor process engineering, epitaxy, or related manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Hands-on MOCVD experience required.
  • Background with InP, GaAs, or related compound semiconductor materials.
  • Experience supporting production environments, process control, and technical problem-solving.
  • Working knowledge of vacuum systems, gas-flow systems, and related equipment infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with toxic gas handling and MOCVD safety practices.
  • Ability to support equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, repair coordination, and process recovery.
  • Bachelor's degree in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
