Unarmed Security Officer – Parking Lot Patrol – Federal Way, WA

Inner Parish Security Corporation (IPSC) is seeking professional, dependable Unarmed Security Officers to join our team for a temporary security assignment in Federal Way, Washington. This project is expected to last approximately two months, with potential opportunities for continued employment and advancement as additional positions become available.

This is a 24/7 operation with multiple shifts available, making it a great opportunity for candidates seeking flexible scheduling.

Position Overview

As an Unarmed Security Officer – Parking Lot Patrol, you will help maintain a safe and secure environment by conducting vehicle patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, and reporting suspicious activity or safety concerns. Officers are expected to remain alert, provide exceptional customer service, and respond professionally to incidents while protecting client property.

Essential Duties
  • Conduct routine and random vehicle patrols throughout the assigned parking areas
  • Maintain a visible security presence to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized activity
  • Observe and report suspicious persons, vehicles, hazards, or criminal activity
  • Complete accurate daily activity logs and incident reports
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and notify supervisors or law enforcement when necessary
  • Enforce client policies and procedures
  • Provide professional customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors
  • Maintain communication with supervisors and dispatch throughout the shift
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Active Washington State Department of Licensing (WA DOL) Security Guard License required
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Reliable transportation
  • Active cellphone
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • Ability to pass a drug screening
Physical & Mental Requirements
  • Ability to walk, stand, and conduct patrols for extended periods
  • Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle while performing patrol duties
  • Ability to communicate clearly during routine operations and emergencies
  • Ability to read, write, and complete reports accurately
  • Ability to hear alarms, radio traffic, and emergency communications
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds if necessary
  • Ability to remain calm, exercise sound judgment, and respond appropriately during emergency situations
