This position is a temporary vacancy covering for a Guild Secretary on leave. The position is expected to end on 01/07/2027 when the current secretary returns to work. At that time, the covering secretary will be terminated from the position.

SENIOR CLERK SCHOOL SECRETARY 19

General Statement of duties and responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Principal Clerk School Secretary and using appropriate technology, serves as secretary to a school's Main Office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Using current technology assists the Principal Clerk School Secretary with the preparation of correspondence, reports and notices.

  2. Greets and assists visitors in a professional manner.

  3. Maintains confidentiality of records, communications and information as appropriate.

  4. Maintains files.

  5. Answers the telephone and general inquiries in a professional manner and redirects calls and inquiries where appropriate.

  6. Assists with sorting and distributing mail.

  7. May operate office machines.

  8. Performs related duties of a similar nature, as requested by supervisor, which are commensurate with job classification.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalency

  • Basic computers skills including word processing and e-mail

  • Ability to access and use the Internet

  • Good communication skills

Current authorization to work in the United States - Candidates must have such authorization by their first day of employment
