Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a motivated Visiting Researcher for the Department of Anesthesiology within the New Jersey Medical School (NJMS).
Candidate studies molecular and cellular mechanisms that underlie chronic pain, with emphasis on calcium channel involvement.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Designs/performs experiments related to cellular and molecular pain development, analyzes data, writes manuscripts, presents results.
- Develops standards, methodologies, and instrumentation for molecular biological experiments.
- Trains clinical fellows, students.
- Assists in the writing of grants.
- Understands and adheres to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
- Performs other related duties as assigned including animal colony maintenance, genotyping, and weaning animals.
