Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Student Assistant in the Department of Pharmacology, Physiology & Neuroscience within the New Jersey Medical School (NJMS).
The primary purpose of the Student Assistant position is to, under direction, performs and assist with laboratory services and procedures in support of research activities of the laboratory.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:

• Prepares reagents necessary for experiments and independently performs experiments.
• Carries out experiments involving mice including tissue collection.
• Records and analyzes data from experiments.
• Maintains a proper data notebook pursuant to the standards of the department and the PI.
• Contributes to the intellectual development of the project.
• Contributes to the writing of manuscripts.

• Must be a current Rutgers student.

• Computer literacy is required.
• The ability to read, write, speak and understand or communicate in English sufficiently to perform job duties.
• The individual should be highly motivated, able to work independently, organized and capable of multi-tasking.
• The individual must have strong writing skills.
