The HR Generalist for Orchid's manufacturing facility in Santa Ana, CA is responsible for supporting the business and operations leaders, team members and leading HR at the site. They support and guide our culture of positive employee relations, lead and develop team members using standard processes, ensure the growth of our positive business culture through behaviors that align with our core values and leadership competencies, and maintain and improves HR processes including but not limited to payroll, recruitment, benefits, training and regulatory compliance.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Drives accomplishment of business and HR strategies and goals through trusted partnerships with business leaders and teams.
  • Provides input to and implements the Global HR Strategy; identifies and creates processes, tools, and analytics that support achievement of goals within the HR Key Focus Areas. The HR Key Focus areas and elements are: 1) Talent Alignment and Development - Right People, Right Place, Working on the Right Things & Rowing in the Right Direction. A Pipeline of Talent for our Current & Future Needs. Performance Management and Results-Based Rewards, Talent, Organization Review and Succession Planning, and Leadership Development. 2) Talent Support - Right Infrastructure to Support the Team Globally in Their Talent Work, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, HR Information Systems, Data and Reporting, Positive Employee Relations, Policies and Compliance and Safety.
  • Interprets and explains human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and regulations and support supervisors in consistent application, ensuring compliance.
  • Maintains timekeeping data, including electronically approving hours worked, making adjustments to time recorded and entering time off requests, all with written supervisor approvals, and ensure compliance to attendance and paid time off policies.
  • Recruits for open positions including posting jobs, screening, interviewing, and working with temporary and recruiting agencies to fill positions
  • Influences a culture of positive employee relations.
  • Supports change communications.
  • Works with HR COE teams to develop, implement and continuously improve processes, tools and systems.
  • Responsible for site administration: new hire onboarding, talent acquisition, payroll submissions, HRIS maintenance, benefits enrollment, performance management, employment verification for government agencies, leaves of absences, etc.
  • Participates in ensuring a proactive approach to employee safety
  • Support quality and compliance by adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS).

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • 3+ Years of HR Experience as a HR Partner, Generalist, or Specialist (Required)
  • Experience in Organizational Change Management (Preferred)
  • Experience leading, managing, and facilitating HR/Talent Alignment initiatives (Preferred)
  • Experience managing employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance improvement plans (Preferred)
  • Manufacturing Experience (Preferred)

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) - Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) (Preferred)
  • SHRM-CP SHRM (Preferred)
