The 6C Medical is one of the newest inpatient medical units at ChristianaCare. Originally opened as a temporary surge unit, 6C has successfully transitioned into a permanent nursing unit, creating an exciting opportunity for nurses who want to be part of a growing team from the ground up. As a member of 6C, you won't simply join an established unit, you'll help define it.
Our nurses are encouraged to contribute ideas, participate in quality improvement initiatives, mentor colleagues, and become future leaders within the organization. Whether you are an experienced medical nurse or looking to expand your clinical expertise, 6C offers an environment where your voice matters and your professional growth is supported.
About the Unit
6C is a general medical unit caring for adult patients with a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Nurses develop strong assessment and critical thinking skills while caring for patients with diverse medical diagnoses and varying levels of complexity.
Common patient populations include, but are not limited to:
  • Pneumonia
  • Syncope
  • Diabetes management
  • Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)
  • Altered mental status
  • General medical admissions requiring diagnostic evaluation and treatment

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
