Job Summary

This jobis responsible forwelding aluminum shapes to vacuum tight standards.

PrimaryResponsibilities

  • Select, install and adjust tips, shield.
  • Install and replace gas tanks, fill/wire according to type of weldtype and assembly.
  • Secure parts and assemblies with clamps and custom fixturing.
  • Review finished part for conformance to design with use of measuring instruments such as calipers and rulers.
  • Use schematics, blueprints, verbal and written instructions toweld and rework parts..
  • Resolves and/or reportsweldingproblems accordinglyto establish company procedures.
  • May be required to fill out and submit Non Conformance Reports (NCR's).
  • Maintains clean and safe working environment.
  • Contributes to team effort and other tasks as needed.
  • Strict compliance with the quality, occupational safety and environmental regulations.
  • Implementation of the instructions of the quality / environmental management representative and the occupational safety specialist.

Required Experience, Education, Skills and Competencies

  • HS or equivalent
  • Previous experience with aluminum Tig welding
  • 1+ years ofworkexperienceor experience in school or apprenticeship setting
  • Experiencewith welding to vacuum tight standards is a plus.
  • A strong work ethic and attention to detail are a must.
  • Attention to quality & workmanship
  • Ability to use small hand tools.
