Job description

The Division of Rheumatology at Albany Medical Center is seeking a full time Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient team. Hours are Monday-Friday from 8am-4:30pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluate and manage patients with autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriatic arthritis, and osteoporosis
  • Order and interpret labs, imaging, and other diagnostic studies
  • Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising rheumatologists
  • Provide patient education on disease management, medications, and lifestyle modifications
  • Work closely with physicians, nurses, and staff to deliver coordinated, patient-centered care

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Current certification as a nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
  • Current NYS licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (or eligibility)
  • Prior experience in rheumatology or primary care preferred; motivated new graduates encouraged to apply
  • Strong communication, organizational, and clinical skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered, outpatient-focused care
