Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for a diverse range of patients, identifying their mental health needs and developing tailored therapeutic plans.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, patientsโ€™ families, and other stakeholders to monitor and discuss individual progress and necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  • Organize and maintain a tentative schedule of patient appointments and home visits, ensuring timely follow-up and continuity of care.
  • Coordinate home visits and in-home observations to perform thorough evaluations and engage in detailed chart reviews and staff interviews.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of program plans, adhering to established therapeutic interventions and methodologies.
  • Participate actively in interdisciplinary team meetings to collaborate with other healthcare professionals and contribute to holistic care strategies.
  • Document monthly and quarterly progress notes comprehensively, highlighting patient progress, challenges, and recommendations for future care.
  • Facilitate training sessions to ensure all staff members are competent in implementing therapeutic programs and accurate documentation.
  • Provide follow-up and ongoing support through interviews and home visits, actively addressing patient needs to enhance overall outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and accessible records to ensure continuity of care and to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Act as a liaison with the public and mental health community, supporting development goals and fostering collaborative relationships.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with children, adolescents, and adults, addressing various mental health concerns ranging from anxiety and depression to trauma and substance misuse. Our clinic caters to a diverse patient demographic, allowing you to apply your expertise in various therapeutic modalities including family therapy and trauma-informed care.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Clinical Professional Counselor in Maryland.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant counseling experience, ideally within a clinical environment, is essential.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing therapeutic issues such as family therapy, couples therapy, trauma, or substance use disorders is highly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
