NeoGenomics is looking foraQuality Specialist Technician for our Molecular department in Aliso Viejo, CA who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow.

This is a Temporary-status opportunity working a full-time schedule of Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm (subject to change based on business needs). Temp workers carry out their duties via a third-party agency, and are not official employees of NeoGenomics.

Position Summary:

The Quality Specialist Technician I is responsible for executing quality initiatives across

laboratory operational disciplines. This role assists in maintaining a Quality Program by applying

recognized principles of quality assurance and current Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), as well

as applicable standards for Clinical Research Organization (CRO) work performed by

NeoGenomics. The Quality Specialist Technician I reports to operational management (Supervisor, Manager, or Director) while also maintaining a collaborative, dotted-line partnership and close working relationship with Quality Assurance and Compliance personnel.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to regulatory compliance and audit readiness by maintaining accurate records and adhering to compliant practices.
  • Apply technical experience while developing quality expertise by performing routine tasks, following established procedures, and learning standard quality processes with oversight.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment by ensuring workspaces, materials, and supplies are managed in accordance with established procedures.
  • QS technician is responsible for reviewing paperwork for completion and GDP correctness before organizing and filling. If issues are found, they should be escalated to senior team members. During audits they will be asked to help pull documents and pre-screen for GDP/completion.
  • Support department management with the Non-Conforming Events Program (NCEP), including CAPAs, deviations, and quality events.
  • Assist with coordination and execution of proficiency testing (PT) for required assays.
  • Support projects, validations, and continuous improvement initiatives, as assigned.
  • Travel: Minimal (less than 10%)

Experience, Education and Qualifications:

  • AA or AS degree in a life or physical science field required, BS or BA degree in a life or physical science field is strongly preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a molecular laboratory
