Job Description

Title: Web Server Systems Administrator (Apache Tomcat)

Location: San Diego, CA

Duration: 6 months (ongoing contract)

Need GC and USC

Role Summary:

This team is responsible for supporting the apache tomcat web server environment and will have no development. This is Tier II/III administration. The client is open to a variety of years of experience as long as they have the web server background. Although apache tomcat would be phenomenal, a different web server along with RedHat or CentOS could work potentially as well. Someone with an enterprise ecommerce environment background would be great!

Required Skills:

4 years supporting enterprise scale production web server environments

3 years hands-on Red Hat Linux experience

Experience with Apache 2.x

Experience with Tomcat 6.x or 7.x

Some scripting skills are required (shell, perl, python)

Written and verbal communication skills - ability to work in AGILE environments across cross-functional teams

PLUS

o F5 Load Balancer administration and configuration

o Tuning systems for optimal performance
