The Receptionist is the initial point of contact for colleagues and guests at our customer's site, acting as the "face" of our client. This role is responsible for delivering an incredible welcoming experience in our reception area making each encounter fun, exciting and personal. They consistently deliver high-caliber customer service.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides a gracious arrival experience for all colleagues and guests, ensuring they feel welcome and their needs are taken care of in a fun, friendly and professional manner at all times
  • Delivers world-class experiences that will leave a lasting, positive first impression
  • Caters for the needs of colleagues and visitors while demonstrating genuine care
  • Ensures a seamless experience through the use of technology to support visitor registration, meeting room bookings, guest arrival, special requests and any other needs a colleague may have throughout their day
  • Develops relationships through personalized encounters and proactive assistance
  • Advises colleagues and guests by maintaining employee and department directories, giving instructions and making warm connections
  • Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules and regulations
  • Captures individual preferences of colleagues and guests for future visits and thinks creatively of ways to accommodate any special requests
  • Develops relationships with colleagues and proactively gathers information on their needs to identify customer and SPS services that ensure total satisfaction
  • Proactively communicates with the Workplace Experience team and other service groups to ensure a "one-team" ethos
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • 1-3 years of customer service experience in reception/hospitality/retail
  • Proven track record of providing stellar support to customers
  • Great telephone skills and verbal communication
  • Proven ability to function successfully within a strong team environment
  • Strong computer proficiency skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Can effectively communicate and relate to all levels within and outside the organization
  • Creates and builds positive and productive relationships
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Fine and/or gross motor skills, including the ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise move packages on a standard wheeled cart with a load capacity of 60 lbs.
  • Ability to walk, bend, kneel, stand and/or sit for an extended period of time
  • Manual dexterity required for operating office machinery (phone, copy machines, binding equipment, etc)
  • Ability to lift or move 40 lbs. or greater frequently
