This is a term position; length of the term will be discussed during the interview process. Continuation past the term length discussed will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding.
POSITION SPECIFICS
The laboratory of Professor Rongchao Jin in the Department of Chemistry, at The Pennsylvania State University, seeks to fill a postdoctoral research position in the area of femtosecond transient absorption and fluorescence upconversion spectroscopies.
Research will focus on the investigation of ultrafast electron dynamics and mechanism of near-infrared fluorescence of atomically precise nanoclusters of gold and alloys. The successful candidate should demonstrate extensive experience in femtosecond spectroscopy and photophysics for atomically precise nanocluster.
Applicants must have recently received, or be scheduled to receive, a Ph.D. in Chemistry by the time employment starts. The individual should beself-motivated and is expected to lead the projects, as well as contribute to collaborative research efforts. Interested and qualified applicants must submit applications electronically to include a cover letter describing your research background to include prior training, and research interests, as well as a CV.
