Scope of Responsibility
This is a Temp-to-Permanent Opportunity: This role begins as a temporary assignment through our staffing partner, with the opportunity to be considered for permanent hire based on business needs and available openings.
Shift: 2nd Shift from 3pm - 11:10pm
Target Pay: The target starting base salary for this position is $18.00 / hour (plus $1 shift premium and quarterly bonus incentive). Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Cascade Engineering considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
What You'll Be Doing
- Responsible for all activities associated with running the machines
- Follow Standard Work in performing all tasks as assigned
- Safely utilize tools (knives, nippers, etc.) and secondary equipment to produce high quality products and includes knowing how to use Personal Protective Equipment, proper lifting techniques, safety around conveyors, how to safely use torches
- Understand and utilize the following: touch points, boundary standards, visual aids, combination sheets, and job breakdown sheets
- Ensure the right part is placed in the correct packaging per applicable standard work
- Using "quality criteria" ensure products are produced in a manner to meet established quality standards
- Use proper trimming techniques (as trained per standard work)
- Know how to read a label; follow applicable processes to create and apply labels to packaging appropriately
- Use STOP authority to minimize scrap production
- Follow standard work and quality criteria to correctly identify and handle non-conforming products
- Support the establishment of Flow Cell certification
- Keep the work cell clean using the 6S process in support of Flow Cell Certification
- Enter scrap numbers into MODS production computer system as trained in OJT (on the job training)
- Read and apply information provided on deviations and quality alerts
- Inspects containers for quality standards
- Set up/tear down the work cell following the correct processes
- Follow all Cascade Engineering policies and procedures
- Clock in and out using UKG time system
- Ensure cleanliness, organization and upkeep of work areas
- Performs additional responsibilities as requested to achieve business objectives
