Our contract personnel include Engineers and Designers skilled in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronic, Chemical, Process, and Structural / Architectural disciplines. Our Scientific Professionals serve the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, Environmental and Medical fields. In addition, we also provide administrative personnel with experience in technical engineering and scientific environments.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Organize and supervise the daily maintenance function for the Plant including equipment, tools, facilities and grounds while controlling related maintenance and labour costs

Coordinates with the Plant Manager, Plant Supervisors and other employees as needed

Ensures working order of equipment and tools through preventative maintenance to achieve efficient and safe production levels while eliminating unnecessary downtime

Leads, Schedules, and evaluates assigned maintenance and janitorial work. Fosters positive working relationships and responds proactively to performance concerns, discipline, employee complaints and other employee matters

Designs, implements and manages a preventative maintenance program for all mechanical equipment and tools

Oversees including documentation, installations, maintaining, repairs, adjustments, troubleshooting and inspection of equipment and tools

Continuous improvement initiatives to streamline product flow and improve efficiencies

Maintains knowledge of current trends in the field and maintains appropriate licensure or certifications


Qualifications:

Excellent knowledge of mechanical equipment, preventative maintenance, overhauling and trouble shooting skills


Education and Experience:

Bachelors Degree 

3-5 Years related experience

Experience in lean, six sigma and kaizan

Strong communication skills, ability to communicate at all levels of the organization

Technical background including: mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic

Project Management experience

Leadership experience, unionized environment an asset

Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs and scheduling

Proficiency with Computers

Availability for afternoon shift

Travel to USA for training
