Accounts Receivable Associate (3-Month Temporary Assignment - Potential Extension)

đź•’ Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Occasional overtime required, including 1 Saturday approximately every 3 months

đź’° Pay: $22- $27.50/hour (based on experience)

Position Summary

PGT Innovations, part of MITER Brands, is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Associate for a 3-month temporary assignment with the potential for extension. This role will support the finance team in Venice, FL by accurately applying customer payments, reconciling transactions, and maintaining the integrity of accounts receivable records.

This position operates in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Post and apply customer payments to open accounts receivable balances
  • Reconcile cash postings to bank deposits and resolve discrepancies
  • Collect and review remittance data from financial institutions
  • Clear deposits and ensure payments are applied accurately and timely
  • Assist Credit Representatives with applying credit memos to invoices
  • Support SOX compliance and audit requests by gathering required documentation
  • Scan, index, and maintain organized financial records
  • Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate reconciliation of transactions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required
  • Completion of basic college-level accounting coursework required
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting or accounts receivable role
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Proficiency with 10-key data entry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
  • Associate degree (AA/AS) in Accounting preferred

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Office environment with extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking
  • Frequent use of a computer, phone, and standard office equipment
  • Occasional need to access production areas (PPE required when applicable)
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
  • May require overtime with minimal notice to meet deadlines
