Job Title: Painter

Reports to: Finish Production Supervisor

    • The hourly range for this position is $17.00-$22.00, however starting wage will depend on qualifications, skill, and experience.

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for painting steel or wood components per specifications of projects, using traditional spray techniques. The applicant in this position must be able to seal or prime and topcoat with high quality.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for steel or wood paint production as projects come out of the production process

  • Maintain detailed records pertaining to the project, including mil readings, paint consumption, and ambient environment readings

  • Preventative maintenance on spray guns

  • Take direction from Supervisor as needed for specific products

  • Coordinate projects based on project requirements and time restrictions

  • Follow all safety standards and procedures

  • Good attendance record

  • Work independently and be a self-motivator

  • Able to work within timelines

  • Maintain a clean workplace

  • Communicate with various departments for the direction of a project

  • Contribute to the quality control of the project

Knowledge/Experience Required:

  • Knowledge of industrial and automobile paint coatings

  • Use of HVLP and/or conventional paint sprayers

  • Use of Pot-Guns

  • ERP System

  • Working knowledge of computers is required to perform necessary tasks.

  • Use of 2K Mix System

  • Knowledge of two-component Siloxane products and Epoxy

  • 3-5 years paint spraying experience

  • Experience with airless pump preferred

  • Be able to lift more than 50 lbs

  • Flexible schedule as this position could be required to work additional hours

  • Be able to clean and maintain equipment at the end of each shift
