We are seeking an organized and dependable Warehouse Person to receive and issue materials, maintain inventory and spare parts, and support the project team.

This is a critical role that will be based in Elko working with the mobilizaiton team to prepare for the Fourmile project. Once the Fourmile project kicks off, this role will move to an equal-time roster of 14 days on followed by 14 days off.

Location: Elko, Nevada, transitioning on-site to the Fourmile Project approximately 65 miles west of Elko, Nevada.
Initial Schedule: Flexible, four days on followed by three days off | 7:00 a.m.– 5:00 p.m.
Temporary Accomodations: In Elko and provided by Barminco
Site Schedule: 14 days on followed by 14 days off | 6:00 a.m.– 6:00 p.m.
Site Accommodation: Private camp room with ensuite, meals and daily transportation provided

Job Title: Storeperson

The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Project Manager or designated Supervisor, the successful candidate will be expected to maintain materials and spare parts in the site warehouse, receive goods from vendors and issue materials to the jobs, operate computerized systems, and efficiently communicate with internal customers and management. You must be able to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate high level of organizational skills. The 14 days roster (14 days on – 14 days off) suits active individuals who value work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unload inbound deliveries; inspect and receipt goods against purchase orders in the computerized system. Report discrepancies and damaged goods to the Purchasing department and follow the instructions on resolving the issues.
  • Put materials away into appropriate storage locations.
  • Arrange stock on shelves according to the size and weight of the items; ensure efficient utilization of the storage space.
  • Pick and allocate materials to the job requests and notify requestors.
  • Keep the warehouse areas clean, organized, and safe. Dispose of packing materials.
  • Keep the warehouse office, equipment and tools clean and in a good working order.
  • Arrange outbound shipments including packing, labelling, and preparing paperwork for the transportation. Ensure the goods are properly secured for the transportation.
  • Return goods to the suppliers as instructed by Purchasing department.
  • Operate forklift for loading and unloading materials.
  • Complete regular stock counts ensuring the accuracy of stock records; report the discrepancies to the Supervisor and follow the instructions on resolving the issues.
  • Process purchase order receipts for services.
  • Communicate efficiently with supervisors and other team members regarding inventory, orders, and any issues that arise.
  • Perform all activities according to the Mine site safety rules, procedures and regulations, whilst ensuring the safety of yourselves and others.
  • Perform other duties from time to time as assigned by the management.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience working in a warehouse environment
  • Confident with using computerized systems
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Forklift certification is preferred but not compulsory
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning and time management skills
  • Ability to read and interpret written and verbal instruction in the English language
  • Genuine desire to work, learn and grow.
  • Proficient in Excel

Work Conditions / Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to do shift camp work on a rotational basis (dayshift/nightshift), typically the rotations are 2 weeks on site (minimum 12-hour days), followed by 2 weeks off – working statutory holidays as they fall within the rotation
  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to communicate verbally, sit, stand, walk, climb, reach, push/pull, manipulate objects and work in awkward positions.
  • Duties may involve moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Manual dexterity and good eye-hand coordination are required.
  • Visual requirements include ability to identify small font numbers and letters along with distinguishing between different colors.
  • Must be able to work in potentially extreme climates including heat over 80 degrees and cold below 60 degrees on a semi-infrequent basis
  • May experience noise level in the work environment from moderate to high.
