Job description

Job Title: Order Picker

1st 2nd and 3rd

Job Description

Join our dynamic Order Processing department where you will play an integral role in ensuring efficient and accurate order fulfillment. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for picking orders, packaging items, labeling boxes, and loading UPS trucks with packages on a conveyor system. Utilizing a tablet on your cart, you'll be guided through the warehouse to pick products efficiently, with up to 12 totes representing different orders. Our inventory system uses AI to optimize your picking route, enhancing productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Pick orders using a cart equipped with a tablet to guide you on what to pick, the quantity, and location in the warehouse.
  • Fill up to 12 orders simultaneously using totes on the cart.
  • Load picked totes onto a conveyor for transport to the Packaging area.
  • Stand by a conveyor in the Packaging area to pack products into boxes.
  • Use an automated system that indicates which box to use for packaging.
  • Assemble boxes, package items, and label them before shoving through a tape machine.
  • Load finished packages onto UPS trucks as needed.
  • Meet performance expectations of picking 100 lines per hour.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in warehouse picking and packing.
  • Ability to walk 3-5 miles per day.
  • Capability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Familiarity with order picking and inventory systems.

Work Environment

Our facility operates on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, Shifts are as follows: 1st shift runs from 6am to 2:30pm, 2nd shift from 2pm to 10:30pm, and 3rd shift from 10pm to 6:30am. Expect to work between 50-58 hours weekly, with optional Saturdays. Training includes shadowing a trainer, followed by a reverse shadow on your second day. The facility requires long pants or shorts that touch the knee and steel-toed shoes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $17.10/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
