Position Overview
Marquette University School of Dentistry (MUSOD) seeks a board-certified or board-eligible Oral & Maxillofacial Radiologist for a full-time clinical or tenure track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
This role focuses on clinical radiology services, teaching, and program leadership, with a structured workload designed to support both high-quality diagnostics and effective education.
As Wisconsin's only dental school, MUSoD is answering the call to meet workforce needs, increase access to oral health care for underserved patients, and advance dental education in Wisconsin.
MUSOD is recognized for its innovative curriculum and strong community-based clinical programs, serving patients across Wisconsin.
Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical Radiology Services
  • Interpretation of CBCT, panoramic, and intraoral imaging across predoctoral and specialty clinics
  • Provide same-day or next-day consultative reports to support clinical decision-making
  • Maintain diagnostic quality standards and contribute to clinical protocol development

Educational Responsibilities
  • Deliver predoctoral and postgraduate radiology curriculum
  • Teaching commitment: 2-3 days per week (didactic + clinical supervision)
  • Mentor students and fellows in radiographic interpretation and diagnostic reasoning

Program & Clinic Commitment
  • Collaborate as a team within the Oral Radiology Clinic, working alongside 1 full-time OMFR faculty, 3 full-time Radiology Technicians, and several support staff.
  • Participate in curriculum updates and integration of emerging imaging technologies

Scholarly & Professional Engagement
  • Participate in clinically relevant scholarly activity
  • Engage in institutional and professional service

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Candidates must have a DDS/DMD degree from a US or Canadian dental school recognized by the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation or a comparable foreign degree. Applicants must hold a valid dental license in some state or jurisdiction and be eligible for a regular license or faculty license in the State of Wisconsin.
  • Completion of a CODA accredited Oral & Maxillofacial Radiology program
  • Board-certified or board-eligible (ABOMR)

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Experience with moderate-to-high CBCT volume (3K+ annually)
  • Strong interest in clinical teaching and mentoring
  • Comfort with digital workflows and imaging systems
