Job description

Job Opportunity: Per Diem Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

Our organization, in collaboration with a prominent healthcare facility in New York City, is on the lookout for a skilled and committed per diem Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to enhance our growing team. We are particularly focused on expanding our orthognathic practice and are excited to introduce new services in bone regeneration and implantology. The hospital is a 545-bed tertiary care center and holds an ACS verification as a level 1 trauma facility, situated in the culturally rich borough of Queens, NY.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and mentor residents in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery within both clinical and sedation environments.
  • Provide expert guidance on clinical decision-making, patient management, and surgical techniques.
  • Operating room privileges are available, although covering OR duties is not mandatory.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Possession of a DDS or DMD degree.
  • Board eligible or board certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
  • A valid New York State License, DEA, and Medicaid number.
  • Demonstrated strong clinical and surgical skills in outpatient, inpatient, and sedation settings.
  • Experience in teaching or mentoring residents is preferred.
Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position is set at $160 per hour.
