Schedule: 4 days in Albany, 1 day in Latham | Monday-Thursday 8am-4pm, Friday 8am-2pm

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Prepare surgical rooms, instruments, and patient charts in advance of procedures
  • Assist chairside during oral surgery procedures including sedation, extractions, and implant placements
  • Monitor and update patient vitals, comfort, and post-op recovery instructions
  • Sterilize and maintain instruments following strict surgical protocols
  • Coordinate inventory of surgical supplies and track implant materials
  • Support the surgeon and anesthesia team with setup and procedural assistance
  • Provide detailed pre- and post-operative instructions to patients and caregivers
  • Maintain electronic records, chart treatment notes, and assist with digital imaging as needed

What We’re Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Completion of a CODA-accredited dental assistant program (preferred)
  • Oral Surgery Assistant Certification (preferred)
  • DANB, ICE, RHS certifications (state-dependent)
  • Valid CPR/BLS certification
  • Minimum of 1 year of chairside dental assisting experience (required | oral surgery preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills and calm presence in surgical environments
  • A team-oriented mindset with high attention to detail
