Job Responsibilities

The General Supervisor duties include:

  • Responsible for the supervision of wage earner employees engaged in the construction, operation, maintenance.
  • Responsible for ensuring that wage earners work safely and efficiently, adhering to all company policies and work procedures.
  • Repair of the gas distribution system, gas equipment (such as meters, regulators, appliances and interior piping) on customers' premises.
  • Responsible for overseeing the completion of safety surveys and other regulatory compliance work.
  • Ensures the protection of company property, approves the issuance of tools, materials and other supplies to operation employees and offers assistance in any and all areas where applicable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues with customers and industry professionals regarding gas piping facilities, pertinent codes and company practices.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, HSED, or GED
  • 5+ years - Gas Operations, Distribution, or Construction experience.
  • 5+ years - Working with and understanding related codes (Title 49 CFR 192, IL Admin Rules, etc.)
  • 3+ years - Standard computer applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • 3+ years - Specialty computer applications (Maximo, PCAD, Open-C, etc.)
  • 3+ years - Formal or informal leadership
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years - Gate Station/Transmission Experience

Pay Range Minimum:  $90,507.56 

Pay Range Maximum:  $135,761.08 

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs.  At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
