Title: BA Securities Analyst

Securities Analyst supports the successful timely, accurate, and complete at-issuance and ongoing disclosure of Single-Family securities to investors to comply with regulatory and financial standards. Specific functions include producing, reviewing, and distributing daily reports, monitoring the publication of Single-Family securities, and reviewing and processing data changes.


Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Required
Accounting/Finance/Business Preferred
2-4 years of related experience
Basic understanding of mortgage-backed securities and/or loan finance
Detail-oriented
Critical thinking experience
Process Improvement
Team player
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access)
Knowledge/experience in SQL, SharePoint and IDQ preferred


Position Purpose
Assist with production activities for at-issuance and on-going disclosure to ensure compliance with regulatory, accounting, financial, and operational risk management standards. Analyze processes and systems to identify potential and existing risks affecting disclosure. Identify and sometimes recommend needed system or process changes to management. Help to coordinate and monitor the implementation of systems enhancements and new products and their impact on MBS Disclosure
Operations and systems. On occasion work with business partners in Investor Relations, Legal, and Treasury, Single-Family
Business, and Mortgage Operations to help mitigate risks to the MBS Program from transaction and reporting activities.
Key Job Functions
Ensure that daily and periodic at-issuance and ongoing disclosure activities are performed timely, accurately, and completely, and meet service-level agreements with investors. Analyze discrepancies to determine root causes and report on issues that have significant impact to the corporation.
Perform ad hoc analysis and problem resolution for disclosure-related inquiries from securities investors, data vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Analyze complex Data Change Requests to ensure compliance with securitization policy and trust agreements and recommend decisions to management.
Stay abreast of MBS compliance policy/SEC requirements. Work with management to adjust compliance operations as necessary.
Develop a solid understanding of the business drivers and processes. Increase knowledge, competence and scope of responsibility to contribute to the goals of the Disclosure Operations Team and Mortgage Operations.
Support the ongoing evaluation, documentation, and improvement in the control environment. Implement changes to address risk and control gaps. Ensure that processes, policies, and procedures are current, documented, followed, maintained, and stored.
Job Function Descriptor: Work is generally moderate to high in scope and complexity. Knowledge is applied to resolve routine to non-standard issues, as necessary. Work may be done independently or under limited supervision.
