Job description

Office Assistant (Temporary)

Location: Petaluma, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (30-minute lunch)
Duration: Approximately 4 months
Pay: $25.00–$27.00/hour

Position Overview

A well-established local company is seeking a Temporary Office Assistant to provide administrative support in a busy office. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organized, customer-focused, and enjoys working in a small team environment. You will work directly with the office manager, who will provide training on company-specific processes.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls and respond to emails.
  • Schedule jobs, inspections, and appointments.
  • Prepare and send customer estimates.
  • Apply for city and county permits (training provided).
  • Process invoices and customer payments.
  • Assist with payroll and general office administration.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide excellent customer service.
  • Support day-to-day office operations as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous administrative or office support experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable answering phones and interacting with customers.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Google Workspace and Apple computers (or willingness to learn).
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.
