Job description

Global logistics company that handles air freight, trucking, warehousing and ocean freight forwarding is looking to hire AP/AR Specialist's.
**Individuals who come from Freight Brokerage, Supply Chain & Logistics, Third-Party Logistics (3PL), Non-Vessel Operating Common Carriers (NVOCC), Freight Forwarders, Intermodal Transportation & Trucking, Public Warehousing & Distribution
and/or Maritime Logistics & Shipping are a plus however NOT required.
Core Accountabilities:
•Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process check deposits, Code and process vendor invoices, manage discrepancies, and reconcile short pays. Manage collections on past-due accounts, negotiate payment plans, and process daily cash receipts.
•Reconciliation: Perform month-end reconciliations of bank statements, balance sheets, and various general ledger accounts across different regional entities.
•Reporting & Administration: Update daily cash reports, assist with financial statement preparation, and maintain vendor or contractor files (W-9/W-8 forms).
Job Requirements:
Education:
•Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related business field is usually preferred.
Experience:
•3 or more years of relevant accounting experience in both AP and AR or bookkeeping experience.
Skills:
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, strong analytical abilities, and experience navigating automated accounting/freight management software.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus but NOT required.
