Job description

We are supporting a well-established, locally owned HVAC company known for honest service, quality workmanship, and strong customer relationships. This is a customer-facing position for an experienced technician who takes pride in solving problems, communicating clearly, and helping homeowners make informed decisions.

Approximately 85% of the work will support residential customers, with the remaining 15% involving light commercial systems. This is an opportunity to build a long-term career with a growing organization that offers training, advancement, and potential ownership opportunities for the right individual.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, service, maintain, and repair residential heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems.
  • Inspect equipment, identify the source of system failures, and provide customers with clear repair or replacement recommendations.
  • Present service options professionally while following the company’s established customer service and sales process.
  • Document findings, recommendations, completed work, and customer communication accurately within the company’s service management system.
  • Assist with HVAC installations, light commercial service, and related plumbing work when additional field support is needed.

Qualifications

  • At least three years of HVAC service experience, preferably supporting residential heating and air conditioning systems.
  • Working knowledge of furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, refrigeration systems, thermostats, and related electrical and mechanical components.
  • Professional appearance and the ability to communicate effectively with customers in person, over the phone, and through email.
  • Clean driving record and the ability to travel to customer locations within approximately 75 miles of Salt Lake City.
  • Self-sufficient and comfortable independently diagnosing problems, completing repairs, and managing assigned service calls.
  • Experience using ServiceTitan or a comparable field service management platform is preferred.
  • Nexstar Network training or similar customer service and sales training is beneficial.
  • Universal EPA certification, plumbing experience, and any applicable HVAC master, journeyman, or contractor licenses are strongly preferred.

What We Offer

  • Company vehicle provided after successful completion of the initial training and evaluation period.
  • Established internal training and customer service processes.
  • A balanced mix of service, troubleshooting, customer consultation, and occasional installation work.
  • Opportunity to join a locally respected team focused on honesty, communication, and dependable workmanship.
  • Long-term advancement potential, including possible future ownership opportunities for a proven team member.
