Job description

This is a temporary, onsite contract — roughly mid-September through October 31, working Tuesday through Saturday with possible early morning starts. It is not a full-time or remote position.

TCGi is hiring onsite technicians for short-duration, desk-side coverage of a wave-based user migration for a confidential healthcare client across western Connecticut and the Hudson Valley, New York. This is hands-on, user-facing work: you'll meet employees at their desks, walk them through the transition to a new device and account environment, and confirm everything works before moving to the next user. A detailed runbook, a tracker, a briefing call, and an onsite lead are provided — you bring the technical skill and the professionalism to work calmly in a clinical setting.

Before you apply, please confirm you can meet all of these:

  • Available for the full engagement, roughly mid-September through October 31
  • Able to work Tuesday–Saturday with possible early morning starts (around 7:30 AM)
  • Within commuting distance of at least one of these areas:
    • Fairfield County, CT — Norwalk, Westport, Wilton, Ridgefield, Danbury, Brookfield, Newtown, New Fairfield
    • Northwest CT — New Milford, Southbury, Sharon
    • Hudson Valley, NY — Carmel, Fishkill, Highland

You'll be assigned to one site per week, so there's no daily travel between locations.

What You'll Do

  • Meet each user at their workstation on their scheduled migration date
  • Confirm the first successful sign-in on the newly migrated device
  • Complete Intune enrollment on the new tenant, confirmed through to completion
  • Confirm first sign-in to the new mail environment and verify mail and calendar are present
  • Complete mobile device enrollment for users in scope
  • Support VIP and executive users in person on the day — no deferring these to remote support
  • Log the outcome for every user in the provided tracker and escalate exceptions to the onsite lead

What We're Looking For

  • Hands-on experience with Windows 11, Microsoft 365 sign-in flows, and Intune enrollment
  • Comfort working desk-side with clinical and executive staff in a hospital setting
  • Presentable, reliable, and able to follow site access and privacy rules (a background check and security agreement apply)
  • Tier 1 capability is sufficient — judgment calls escalate to the onsite lead

Strong performers may be considered for future opportunities with TCGi as they arise.
