A Temporary MFT (Marriage and Family Therapist) is an individual who has completed the necessary educational requirements for marriage and family therapy but is working under a provisional or temporary license while fulfilling additional requirements for full licensure. This status allows them to provide therapy services under supervision as they gain the required clinical experience and pass licensing exams. Temporary MFTs often work in clinics, private practices, or community organizations, supporting individuals, couples, and families with mental health and relationship issues.
