Job description

Plaintiff Medical Malpractice Paralegal (Temp-to-Hire)
Location: Coral Gables, Florida

A highly regarded boutique plaintiff's law firm in Coral Gables is seeking an experienced Medical Malpractice Paralegal to join its team on a temp-to-hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced litigation environment and wants the potential to transition into a permanent position.

Responsibilities:
  • Support attorneys in all phases of plaintiff medical malpractice litigation
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, notices, discovery requests, and responses
  • Organize and maintain case files, both electronic and physical
  • Review, summarize, and manage medical records
  • Coordinate expert witnesses and assist with expert disclosures
  • Schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial-related events
  • Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, and other litigation materials
  • Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel
  • Monitor deadlines and maintain litigation calendars
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of plaintiff medical malpractice paralegal experience
  • Strong knowledge of Florida state court procedures and deadlines
  • Experience reviewing and summarizing medical records
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities simultaneously
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and proofreading skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
  • Trial preparation experience is highly preferred
