Temporary Mechanical Drafting Jobs (NOW HIRING)

Location: Louisville, KY (Onsite)

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:45 PM

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer / Drafter to join a growing engineering team supporting custom industrial equipment projects. This role will work closely with project engineers to develop customer approval drawings and transition those into detailed fabrication-ready designs.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys designing from scratch, working in a highly collaborative environment, and seeing projects move from concept through production.

• Create custom mechanical designs using Autodesk Inventor
• Develop customer approval drawings for review and sign-off
• Produce detailed fabrication and shop drawings for manufacturing
• Collaborate with project engineers and internal teams throughout the design process
• Perform basic calculations and ensure accuracy of designs
• Continuously learn and apply company standards and product knowledge

• Experience with Autodesk Inventor (required)
• Background in mechanical design and drafting within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to create approval drawings and fabrication drawings
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
• Solid math skills (geometry, trigonometry, algebra)

• Experience with SolidWorks
• Familiarity with AutoCAD
• Experience using Excel or spreadsheet tools
• Ability to quickly learn new products and components

The team is preparing for an increase in project workload and is looking to bring on designers ahead of demand to allow time for onboarding and training.

Carrier Process Equipment Group (CPEG) designs and manufactures custom industrial processing equipment across a wide range of industries. With expertise in engineering, fabrication, and assembly, CPEG delivers high-quality, customized solutions to meet complex customer needs.

This is a Contract position based out of Louisville, KY.

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $32.00/hr.
