Job Description:

Title: Material Handler

Location: Torrance, CA 90504

Duration: 06+ months (with possible extension).

Shift: 2nd/Swing

Pay Rate: $22/hr.

Job Description:  

The following skills for this position are a Must-Have:

·       Adherence to instructions and detail-oriented: Must strictly follow pre-established safety and warehouse guidelines without cutting corners.

·       Technical Savvy (SAP training): While they do not need to be an IT expert, they must be comfortable learning and navigating our proprietary SAP program.

·       Self-Motivated: Capable of staying on task and completing physical work efficiently without needing constant direct oversight.

·       Physical Stamina: Comfortable lifting up to 35 pounds and spending the majority of their shift on their feet moving materials.

·       Loads and unloads material within a warehouse or storage facility. Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from aircraft, trucks or trains and within the storage facility. May require a high school diploma with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

·       Has knowledge of commonly-used practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.

·       Special Considerations: Lifting is generally at or below 30Lbs. without significant repetitions. Moderate exposure to machinery, chemical, biological, and physical risks is anticipated. Operation of a Powered industrial truck is considered at least Industrial and may be considered Heavy as determined by other exposures.
