Job description

Material Handler Trainee Stone

Under the supervision of a trainer or lead, the Material Handler Trainee Stone will be responsible for loading, unloading and moving materials. Follow procedures to receive and issue product from the inventory management system. Perform necessary safety inspections on equipment being used including forklifts, overhead cranes, pallet jacks etc. Keep accurate record and perform necessary cycle counts of inventory. Ensure that product stored is properly marked and/or tagged for inventory accuracy.

Complete necessary training and certifications.

Safely operate equipment needed to unload and/or load materials including forklift, overhead crane, etc.

Properly fill out any receiving or loading paperwork necessary.

Utilize software applications and accurately ensure that inbound material matches PO and receiving paperwork.

Communicate to other parties utilizing email, texts, Teams messages etc.

Create and apply inventory tags that provide item description and bar code needed for inventory transactions.

Utilize RFD tools to be able to scan and perform necessary inventory movement function in inventory system.

Perform necessary cycle counts during the month and at the end of each month to verify accurate inventory levels.

Perform necessary safety inspections on equipment.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Forklift certification and operational qualifications for necessary equipment.

Ability to handle product and safely load and unload utilizing equipment necessary.

Ability to operate handheld RFD scanning devices to perform necessary inventory transactions including receiving, issuing, bin to bin transfers, and cycle counting/ inventory counts.

Ability to read and communicate information from BOLs and POs.

Ability to deal effectively with others.

Ability to follow instructions.

Ability to utilize Microsoft based software applications and perform functions in Microsoft office including email and Teams.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Forklift experience certification required.

Basic computer skills.

Bilingual preferred.

Required standing on hard surfaces for extended periods of time, to bend, stoop, and work in tiring and sometimes uncomfortable positions. Lift and carry items that weigh up to 50 lbs. and or move, maneuver, push, or slide items for proper position. Items weighing 100 lbs. will be moved, lifted as a two-person team.
