Job description

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
Automation Personnel Services is seeking Maintenance Technician for a food manufacturing facility in Chattanooga, TN. In this role, you will support all production processes and facility equipment. Primary duties include preventative maintenance, machine troubleshooting and project support. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position.
Pay range- based on experience
$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
Shifts and Schedules
2nd shift: 3:00pm-11:30pm Monday-Friday.
3rd shift: 11:00pm-7:30am Sunday- Thursday.
The schedule may vary depending on maintenance challenges.
Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities
• Maintain, repair, troubleshoot and upgrade equipment and facility, analyze equipment and operational problems for all equipment, and take corrective action to resolve mechanical/electrical and operational problems
• Lubricate equipment and perform preventative maintenance checks as needed, and/or requested
• Assist with change-over of equipment, as necessary to produce different products
• Assist with clearing equipment jams (during production) and set aside products for inspection/rework
• Assist with the installation of new equipment
• Assist manager/supervisor troubleshooting with training new maintenance employees, when requested
• Must be able to perform light electrical work including basic electrical trouble shooting with a volt/ohm meter and amp probe
Maintenance Technician Skills and Qualifications
• 3 years’ experience in a maintenance position
• Previous experience on forklift and scissor lift
• Read mechanical drawings
• Some basic computer skills for inventory and equipment
• High school diploma or equivalent required
