Install, adjust, change, repair locks and cut new and duplicate keys for security. Perform master keying of sites as necessary. Install, change and repair electronic hardware, door closures, all hardware, and locks. Maintains records of all key and locking systems. Advise district personnel on security/safety measures related to locks/hardware. Open, repair and changes combination to safes as well as other district locking devices, door locks, cabinet locks, vehicle locks, etc. Contact vendors for key and door hardware job costs/materials and obtain bids. Maintain and order all hardware supplies. Install and repair electronic access control systems. Maintain tools in an acceptable manner. Prepares duplicate keys using hand tools and specialized key cutting equipment and rekeys locks. Disassembles door locks and panic hardware to repair worn tumblers, springs, and other parts. Inserts new tumblers into lock to change core structure. Performs all work in compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. Knowledge of and experience with industry-standard equipment, materials, practices, computers and applications. Perform other related duties as assigned.
