14719 - Infrastructure Engineer, Linux Platform (Onsite) – Palm Beach Gardens and Miami, FL
Start Date: ASAP
Type: Temporary Project
Estimated Duration: 12+ months with possible extensions
Work Setting: 100% of the time at the Client’s site. No telecommuting or remote work. This is a non-negotiable requirement from the client.
Only candidates able to relocate as required should apply to avoid removal from future consideration.
Required:
  • Availability to work 100% of the time at the Client’s site in Palm Beach Gardens and Miami, FL (required);
  • Experience with Linux infrastructure engineering in enterprise environments [10+ years, including 5+ years hands-on Linux engineering];
  • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Amazon Linux, including build, configuration, patching, hardening, lifecycle management, and operational support;
  • Experience with Bash and Python scripting;
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Packer, Git, and CI/CD practices;
  • Experience with Linux golden images, hardened templates, automated deployment patterns, and configuration baselines;
  • Experience with Linux security hardening, vulnerability remediation, configuration compliance, and CIS standards;
  • Experience with Red Hat Satellite for Linux patching, repository management, lifecycle management, and compliance reporting;
  • Experience with sudo, LDAP integration, and enterprise identity/access integration patterns;
  • Experience with ServiceNow processes including monitoring requirements, alert thresholds, operational metrics, service catalog offerings, and CMDB standards;
  • Experience developing standards, roadmaps, documentation, service models and operational procedures.

Preferred:
  • Experience with AIX, IBM Power Systems, PowerVM, and LPAR environments;
  • Experience with additional Linux distributions such as Ubuntu, Oracle Linux, or SUSE;
  • Experience with Linux workloads in AWS, GCP, or other cloud platforms;
  • Experience with cloud-native Linux images, AMIs, or automated image pipelines;
  • Experience with container platforms, Kubernetes, or OpenShift;
  • Experience with enterprise monitoring platforms and observability tools;
  • Experience working in regulated or security-focused enterprise environments;
  • Relevant Linux, automation, cloud, security, or infrastructure certifications (e.g. Red Hat, AWS, Google Cloud, Terraform, Ansible, ITIL);

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, engineering, and implementation of enterprise Linux infrastructure solutions across on-premises, virtual, and cloud environments;
  • Act as technical product owner for Linux infrastructure services, including standards, roadmap development, lifecycle planning, and platform improvement;
  • Define and implement Linux automation using Ansible, Terraform, Bash, Python, Git, and CI/CD practices, including build standards, golden images, and hardened templates;
  • Define and manage Linux lifecycle, patching, repository, and maintenance standards using Red Hat Satellite, including compliance reporting and coordination with operations teams;
  • Support Linux security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance alignment with CIS and enterprise security standards;
  • Partner with identity, security, backup, resiliency, application, infrastructure, cloud, and operations teams on cross-functional projects and recovery requirements;
  • Lead technical workstreams, provide direction to indirect project resources, and participate in architecture reviews, design reviews, and technical governance processes;
